History and Geography explore different themes and factors when it comes to analysing an event or consequence – not all relates to monetary cost. There are a number themes and factors you can argue, but not all may be relevant.
In a geographical context, factors are typically broken down into:
- Human – things made or built by humans including settlements, financial systems and more.
- Physical – things that occur naturally such as tectonic activity, hydrological cycle and more .
Factors can also be broken down further when analysing a concept or problem, and this can include:-
- Political
- Economical
- Societal
- Gender
- War
- Religious
- Ideological
- Technological
- Medicinal
Although factors can be distinct, they are rarely independent from each other, and one can affect the other or they are interlinked – such as socio-economical issues.
